What to expect at "THE CITY"
If you are planning to visit Neighborhood City Church for the first time, here is what you might expect…
WORSHIP (Psalm 96) In worship, we celebrate our great God for who He is and for what He has done, is doing and will do on our behalf. Our time of corporate worship is a joyful event. Participants are free to clap, raise their hands, stand, sit or kneel as they as they are prompted by the Holy Spirit.
FELLOWSHIP (John 13:34, Hebrews 10:24-25) The Bible exhorts us to gather together often in order to encourage and express our care for each other. NCC offers opportunities for us to get to know each other better so that our love for one another can grow. Time to get acquainted is provided during our Sunday worship service, at our monthly fellowship meal, and other times.
DISCIPLESHIP (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Peter 2:2 ) Growing spiritually is an intentional process that takes time. It is linked to learning and obeying what God has told us in His Word. The pastor delivers a practical message from the Bible during each Sunday Worship Celebration. Other discipleship opportunities will soon be provided at Children’s Church, Women’s Bible Study, and Adult Bible Study classes.
MINISTRY (Romans 12:4-8, Ephesians 4:11-16) Every true Christian has a place in ministry. Ministries that reflect our spiritual gifts, personalities, and passions can be as varied as the individuals who fulfill them. NCC provides believers the chance to share a testimony, minister to children, display gifts of hospitality, pray for others, give, sing, clean, plant, mow…
OUTREACH (Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21) One of the ways NCC seeks to impact our neighborhood is by demonstrating the love and reconciliation that is available in Christ Jesus. We reflect this in the ethnically diverse community that exists in our fellowship each time we gather.
